2017 Allen Scholarship Application Form

    The first African-American student, Clarence Beecher Allen, entered The College of Wooster in the 1880s, and the College continues to be inspired by his achievements. In 1988, Wooster's Board of Trustees created the Clarence Beecher Allen Scholarship to be awarded based on academic merit and leadership. These scholarships commemorate the achievements of Wooster´s first African-American graduate.
     
    For African-American students wishing to apply, please follow these instructions: 
     
    1. Complete the general application for admission by January 1
    2. Complete the Allen Scholarship Application Form by January 1 

     
    Specifics
    Upon review of the application for admission and Allen Scholarship Application Form, select students will be notified and those Allen Finalists will be invited to participate in the Allen Competition Weekend on Sunday, February 19 - Monday, February 20.  Results of the competition will be released by April 1.
