    Choose Ohio First Scholarship Application


    The Choose Ohio First Scholarship is awarded to Ohio students entering The College of Wooster in the fall of 2027 who are pursuing a degree in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).

    Scholarship eligibility requirements:
    • Students must be Ohio residents graduating from an Ohio high school
    • Students must have a high school cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Students must major in a STEM field while attending Wooster

    To be considered, students must complete this scholarship application, apply for admission, and complete the FAFSA (if eligible to submit) by Monday, February 1, 2027.

    Wooster majors supported by the program: 









    An education major with a STEM focus would also qualify.

    A. A written response to the following topic (300-word limit): Above, you listed your past experiences in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics). Which experience excited you the most? What are your education and/or career goals as they relate to STEM? 
    B. One letter of recommendation from a teacher in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) field (must not be the letter submitted in your application for admission).
