Deferred Enrollment Request Form

At Wooster, we believe deferred enrollment can potentially provide valuable learning experiences outside of the classroom prior to a student entering college. To request a Gap Year/Deferred Enrollment, please complete the form below.  When reviewing deferred enrollment requests, the Office of Admissions considers how the student is spending their time and how it will benefit the student. Students may only request one enrollment deferral; second requests will not be granted.

For students whose deferred enrollment plans are approved, any merit-based scholarship they receive will be maintained through the gap year. Need-based financial aid, when applicable, is not guaranteed year-to-year and is subject to change if the student’s financial situation changes. All students must reapply for need-based financial aid each academic year at Wooster.
